We can log into Baan and view data but when we attempt to perform any transactions against the MS SQL 2K database we receive the following error within event viewer:

"Error sqlcode 4064 [sqlstate: 42000, Return code: -1, diagRecNum: 1] during SQLConnect.
"Cannot open user default datbase. Login failed."

Any recommendations for what the problem may be ??

Is your baandb Read-only? check Enterprise Manager.

Hi

Check the settings of database account which is used by BaaN application. Maybe somebody has changed it's privileges on database level. This can be also done by manipulationg with roles in database.
