We have a new BaanERP installation on Windows 2000 with a Oracle DB on Linux.

What do you think about this arranging. Is this possible?

Yes, it is. Currently we test a WinNT4-Application-Server with a Linux-Server with SuSE7.1 + Oracle8 as Database-Server. The first tests are ok.

The good thing about your setup is the following:

Oracle claims, that SQl Net is completely transparent for an oracle application. So if your setup does not work, then this is an issure for the oracle support only. Baan support and any compatibility issues are not involved!
