Has anyone used the log.startjob. In my case the log.startjob comes with messages saying job 'xyz' does not exist. whereas when i check the maintain job session the job is there!

other questions:
any other particular use for this log or does this just complement the log.bshell and the print job history session?

It does not have a particular use except for displaying job problems at job startup (like $BSE/tmp/rc.startjoberr.xxx). We have similar problems with a particular EDI job not being found but still the job is always properly run. So I think you can safely ignore it.
