Does anyone know if it is possible to only allow access to specific tables (ideally tables / fields) within GTM ?

We have the standard problem that regularly financial postings cannot be finanlised due to status problems in gld101/gld102, usually caused by some network or other problem. Our auditors appreciate that it is nesessary to change the batch status in order to sucessfully finalise the batch, but are not happy that GTM provides wholesale access to the system and would prefer that we restrict it to the specific tables or even better the table & field combination.

The only option I can think of is to create a session to allow access to the fields and only authorise the finance manager to use it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

You can use the maintain table data (ttaad4133) or/and maintain field data (ttaad4135) to rectrict the access.
