Hi all,
After installing Service pack 8, i m getting the following error which are as shown in the file attached along.
Can someone help me out as to what is it that has happened as beofre the installation of Service Pack, they working working fine.

I have replaced the bic_global and rep_gen file in the include directory as it was mentioned in the Installation guide.

Searched on the support database and found 2 similair cases:

When compiling or executing reports, error(s) arise that involve one or more
of the following variable or function :

r_bic_repgen_init
db.get.physical.compnr


SOLUTION DESCRIPTION:
The Baan environment must be updated conforming the
following steps :

1 - Carefully read Solution 116358, and install
all other relevant solutions specified.

2 - Install new bic_global & bic_repgen files as
specified in solution 116210, but PREFER General Solution 114812
instead of 116210.

3 - Install the latest update for object ottstprepdll :
Use at least solution 116099, but latest is preferable (see list below).

4 - Install latest standard programs (General Solution 10923)

5 - Install latest spoolopen/spoolclose objects (General Solution 13758)

6 - If Porting Set is older than 6.c.05.02, update at least
to this release, but the latest is preferable.
See General Solution 15219(Unix) or 18505(NT)


If the problem is still not solve at this stage, install additional solutions
below :

7 - Install latest BW/BWPRINT client (General Solution 13743)
NOTE: there is a new functionnality in BWPRINT.
Refer to solution 117758.

8 - Install latest locale information (General Solution 101830)

Hi,

I've also encountered this error. What I did was, I upgraded the porting set and downloaded 114812 Solution. Just follow the instructions on that solution. Also don't forget to run binperm6.1 after upgrading the porting set. (This is to ensure the right permissions).

the both solution suggested by Dikkie Dik & gatzie will definitely solve your problem. Both solution are tested.
