While creating a sequential dump of company 000, the system reports that it cannot read table ttadv996. I just tried to look at the data using General Table Display and received error #1564.

Does anyone know what this error means?

We have been running for several years and no known problems with this table. How is this table used?

What is in this table? How is it used?

Its not the table causing it, its the Informix being unable to sort the information in the table.

Off the cuff I believe that the table has something to do with help files.

Franscesco is correct, the table tadv996 defines the help text on the system. It is a large table (ours has over a million entrys).
