Hi,

Occasionally an error 1214 presents itself when performing a convert to RTDD. I think it relates to a 'lock' on the table being converted. However my script that interrogates the 'sysmaster' tables cannot tell me who the user is? Is the lock at a DB level (I don't think so) or does Baan detect that a user already has a view of the table and therefore cannot drop the table/dump the definition.

Regards,
Rupert

The error is on the DB level (>1000), so I would assume that the lock is at the DB level as well.

In your Informix log, the error should be accompanied by a table number. You need to confirm that this is a table that is being converted to runtime.

I doubt it.

Thanks for the response Francesco, are you saying that the table definition cannot be dumped because of a referenced table that is locked?

Hi Rupert,

About the question : DB type: INFORMIX - is there another? Of course there is, just a lot ! :)

I suspect something along that line. I don't know what normally would invoke this error msg in Informix.
Anyway, there should be more info in the db_log.
