Hello Everybody,

I have BaanIVC4 with SQL, on Windows NT and now I want to apply auditing on Baan IV. I already implemented my database with Audit Trail Enabled. Can anybody explain how to enable auditing for Tables under Baan IV C4 on Windows NT.

Regards

Rdheeraj,

I guess for NT it would be similar to UNIX. So the next thing you should do is:

Setup Audit File Directories (ttaad4116m000): this setting determines where Baan will store your audit information. The easiest is to use 1 subdirectory for each company under $BSE/bin:

Table Selection Table All Company Path Name
Comp

All (other) tabl Yes ${BSE}/audit/#

Then:

Assign Tables to Databases: in this step you will assign tables you wish to be audited to your 'audit trail' database. Note that parameter tables are mandatory in auditing.

Don't forget to Convert to Runtime!

That is all you need to do. Just make sure that the audit directory has enough space to post for the tables you are requesting. Bad things happen when the audit space fills up.
:)

Not appropriate for here, but I should start a thread on BaanERP 5.0b/c auditing as there are some big changes in this version.
