We are on BaanIV - AIX
with service pack 6 and porting set 6.1.c.06.01.
We installed some critical solutions, but some of problems wasn't solved.
So, we want to upgrade SPack and PSet.
What is the best way: to install new PSet and then Spacks or first Service packs and then Porting sets?
Maybe, some other order of installation?
Is there on the Baan support some link for CD-s with PS and SP to download?
Thanks

When we upgrade, we first install the new ServicePack. According to Baan, the upgrade to a new Portingset is obligatory, but my experience is that the latest portingset does not need to be updated when you're installing a new ServicePack.
Maybe you can try to install the SP first, and then, when you encounter problems, you can always install the latest PS anyway.
As far as I know, SP's can not be downloaded as such. The largest bundle of solutions you can download as a whole are the weekly dumps, if I'm not mistaken. The SP as a whole needs to be ordered at your Baan Service Centre (CD-ROM).
The solution containing the latest portingset is solution # 15219 (Unix). You can get it from the BGS-site.
I hope this can help you a little further,
Henk.

Command $BSE/bin/bshell6.1 -v or session Version Scan Tool (ttaad0500m000).

The release notes of the SP tell's you which portingset is minimal required. So check that first.
I normally always update the portingset first, than update tools/application.
