we used ba6.2 to run jobs on our system in the night. Sometimes the jobs remain on status Running but the ba6.2 process is gone !!
See underneath what I found in the log.ba6.2. What means the #101 ?
Thanks for your help

You should concern is with the "Log_mesg: Erreur fatale : Detected database server termination" message. Your ba lost it's connection to the database.

Have you checked what run around 21:00:54 that day (an offline backup maybe) that may be causing ba to loose it's connection to the database?

And judging from your information you might very well be on the same version and porting set as I am (5.0b, 6.2a.03.03).

I traced these 'erreur fatales' back to originating from memory corruption (the database has nothing to do with it in this case). Here is the thread with the story of my ongoing struggle: Help, etc. (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5760).

Since this week, bouncing Baan does not seem to take care of the problem anymore (do I hear Luuk say "told you so"? :D ), so I probably will revisit the subject one of these days.

Keep a close eye on your log.bshell6.2 for these 'Detected Database Server Termination' messages. You'll probably find they increase in frequency over time.
If you are in a position to update your porting set (and trade in safari for Crystal), I would recommend giving that a try.

Thank you for your answer Francesco, we actually think that upgrading our porting set should solve that kind of problem.

I heard the _next_ porting set will solve _all_ our problems ;)

Keep me informed.
