It's kind of complex but I would like to know what is the impact and problems that I'll encounter when changing the baan database user password?

The database user 'baan' matches the default baan group user 'user' in your $BSE/lib/ora/ora_groups file (in case you use Oracle). Thus also the encryted password in the ora_groups file must be updated or else you will not be able to create/delete tables anymore.
