When typing the command: licmon6.1 the following message appears twice before the brandinfo:
licmon6.1: Unable to retrieve cluster name

The /etc/hosts file gives me one hostname, the same as in licence6.1 and in the brandinfo.

The platform is a Compaq tru 64 Unix 5.0a.

Give me some informations. Look on the file log.licd6.1in $BSE/log, and give me the extract where you found the errors

You need to wait an average of 4 minutes before to restart your licence daemon.

use netstat -an |grep 6003 to be sure that the socket port is free before to restart your licd6.1

Will this also solve the problem "Unable to retrieve cluster name"? Because I know to wait some time to restart the licencedaemon, but never seen this message.

Check if the High availabilty cluster is on for the licence (also Network management)
