Hi All,

Does anyone have an idea of what these settings in the $BSE/lib/user/u-file mean?

startprogram_gui: ottdskprogman -dcfgreene
startprogram_inet: ottdskprogman -dcfgreene

unixuser:bsp
usertype:S
pacc:b52abcd
compnr:000
language:2
compauth:000
lockdelay:-1
startprogram_gui: ttdskbbrowser -n2 -mmtccom000000001
startprogram_inet: ttdskbbrowser -n2 -mmtccom000000001
startmenu:mtccom000000001
worktop_trees: MB
def_textg: DEFAULT
toolbar1:0
toolbar2:10
stp_win_def:1
exec_perms:111

I have a problem with a user file who has this settings -

nixuser:cfgreene
usertype:N
pacc:b52abcd
compnr:055
language:2
compauth:000
lockdelay:-1
startprogram_gui: ottdskprogman -dcfgreene
startprogram_inet: ottdskprogman -dcfgreene
startmenu:mtccom000000001
worktop_trees: MB PB WLH

Also, what do these settings refer to ?

stp_win_def:1
exec_perms:111
thousep:,
radixchar:.
hide_ch:+
noref_ch:*

Any clues?

Thanks!

Hi NPR,

startprogram_gui: ottdskprogman -d<desktopname>
This indicates which Desktop to execute (when the user logs in).
If you check your Desktop table (ttdsk200), u'll have a Desktop = cfgreene

startprogram_gui: ttdskbbrowser -n<searchdepth> -m<menuname>
This indicates which MenuBrowser to execute (when the user logs in).
searchdepth ... there is a post on this one.
I don't know how to provide the link :)
Hopefully one of the moderators can help me out.

Thread title = ttdsk1300m000 (Browse Data Entry)

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Popeye!

Hi Madhu,

Thanks for the info...

I found that session, ttdsk1300m000, but Desktop is no longer active in BaaN-5.2 version and worktop. I guess they came through from the previous tools installations etc.

I found few desktop settings in the ttdsk200. Should I remove them now ? and are there more entries in other tables to be removed ?

How can I invoke the session, ttdsk1300m000, we dont have the desktop management in the tools menu. Which session activates it?

Any idea about the other settings ?

Popeye,

Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser and paste here. The URL in question was http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6162

Popeye ~Vamsi is right, but you can do it even more sophisticated by adding something like this:
See this thread (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6162)

See this thread (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6162) which must be entered with "[URL" instead of "<a href"; quote this message to see its syntax
