Does anyone have any knowledge about BW on Citrix systems. Is there a possibility to install BW and if it is where could I download one?

Its on the baan support website www.support.baan.com
You have to have an active support contract with Baan to access it.

thank you dave.
we don't have support with BaaN *yet*, could you forward me the document or would it be possible to tell me in short what it says about citrix?

I don't think there's a document on how to set up bw with citrix..
As far as I know you just install your bw client on the citrix server
and it works.. no special setup needed.

Dave, do you have access to the BaaN-Knowledgebase?
It would be very interesting what document/solution 13743 says about citrix, maybe some hints I don't know yet ... :)

That's the generic solution for the bw client. It doesn't mention Citrix at all..
It does say .68 or .69 for the BW version for XP.. it also gives a 7.5 i think for the minimum 7 series BW.. but I think its actually higher than that.

Hej,
To create Baan Logins over Citrix you need to install the BECS Application onto the Citrix Server. Using this Application you set up a default BW connection. Saving the configuration will end in a [filename].bwc file.
Further you need to create an icon (for the users) accessing the *.bwc file.
That´s how we are running it.

hi malutz!
I don't know the BECS Application but we also have some BWC-files and icons for the users which are using the specified BWC-files.
Which BW-version are you using?
Any issues about performance or mouse-behavior?

Hej,
for BaanIV we are using the most recent BW 074. The BECS Application is the one you create configurations files (*.bwc) with.
There are some know problems with window refreshing when you use Citrix with Baan. As far as i know it is just a problem in Baan ERP 5 and higher, where user interface is much better.
Sadly i´m not a citrix specialist and therefore cannot help you further with providing the right citrix configuration.
Good luck ;)

hm well we tried a lot of things to speed up BW on Citrix but now I don't have any more ideas about that, will see what the users think about that.
thanks for your informations!

Hi,
When users without Administrative rights try to use the bw client on a citrix, they get the message "Library not registered". Any suggestions?
Thanks

there are two tools you can get from www.sysinternals.com called filemon and regmon run these programs and then run the client, the programs log what files and registry keys programs are attempting to acces and logs failures
