Hi all,

Creating RDD for a certain package causes an "Serious error calling bdbpreconfig;exit".

For an other package I tried everything works fine!

Are there some ideas, how to fix the problems?

Did you looked at problem description in your logfiles?
( try $BSE/log/logbdbreconfig6.x or something like that )

Try to post a tail of that file.

We encountered the same problem not so long ago, just after installing the latest portingset. After re-installation of the old bdbreconfig-file, this problem was solved.

I have seen this error as well. Off the top of my head, I think it may have been a lack of permission issue like not having permission to create the R. file. I'll see if I can look up my notes and post those as well.

Checked my notes. I received a "Serious error in calling bdbreconfig;exit" during a Convert to Runtime Data Dictionary when the $BSE/log/log.5200reconfig file wasn't writeable by my user.

I had this problem in my system, if you are running BaanERP 5b and your portingset is 7.1c.02/03 then you will face this problem.
I have resolved the problem by replacing the bdbreconfig6.2 binary file with an older version 7.1c

Check this will resolve the problem.
