Hi

We have got two factorys on difirent location and Locations is 15 km distance
We want to use baan for each foctory, but with one server
factorys have 2 Mbit per/sec leased line of distance
may be 25-30 baan users will run of other factory
we will use package like below
13 users distribution
10 users Manufacturing
7 users Finance

We want to learn;
1- What do baan require to remote connection for one user (like Mbit per/sec)
2- Do you think is there 30 baan users run to possible with 2 Mbit per/sec of baan

Thank you for answer

What bandwith is required depends on what each user will do in Baan. iread somewhere in a sizing guide I (BaanIV, BOP=Project Estimate Module):

- Minimum bandwith for a typical BW user: 8kbps
- Minimum bandwith for a BOP calculations BW user: 32kbps

A maximum latencey of 200ms (roundtrip) was considered.

For 30 users, with 1 Mb/s thru TCP/IP, each user has available an average of 33+Kbps, this should be more than enough.
