Please let me know if any one has a document which states how to setup Baan IV C4 where application server and database server is different.

I don't think that there is straight forward document like that from Baan, since this falls into the database installation and not the Baan installation, Baan assumes that you already have your DB setup and you can connect into it from the server where Baan will be installed.

If you are on MS SQL Server, there is a document,

Tools Reference Document No. TFH-006

This is available at Baan Support Site.

Three files you need to check:

${BSE}\lib\licence6.1 - contains the name of your app server
${BSE}\lib\defaults\db_resource - name of your db server (option)
${BSE}\lib\tabledef6.1 - name of your db server

It would be prudent to upgrade your porting set too.
