Does anyone know if it possible to construct a link to a specifc session and record that can be embedded in a email for example such that the said session and record are opened within the webop?

Did you check the "send to" option in the file-menü of an overview-grid session?

There you're able to save a link to the desktop. There's also a send to mail option available.
