Hello,

We have installed Baan Vc SQL Server 7 and Windows NT.

We are unable to open the Parameter sessions even though Audit trial is on for all the tables. In the session "Audit file directories (ttaad4116m000) we have given the path of the audit file as D:\Baan5\audit\

What are we missing? Please help

Regards
Sudarshan

Did you convert to Runtime DD after you configured auditing? Please post the errors you can find in any of the $BSE/log/* log files.

Hello,

We did do the Convert to Runtime after we configured the Auditing. Also there are no errors on the error logs.

When we try to run the parameters we don't get any error messages, it just does not run. The other sessions open properly. In the parameter tables, there is data already. We are woking on Company 902 ( Demo Company B50_c.)

One other thing, many of the parameter sessions are named like tfgld0101s000, tfgld0103s000 etc. These are the session in the menu. Does the "....s..." in the name stand for sub session like it did in Baan IV or does this have another meaning here.

I think the s technically still indicates a subsession, but the strict segregation of sessions and subsessions is an idea of the past as of Baan V.

You are not giving us much to go on here, Sudarshan. Do you have superuser privileges, or have you tried running the parameter sessions under a superuser account?
This way we can rule out that it is not a Baan permission issue.
(even though that should be noted in the bshell.log)

Hi,

shortly the session name meaning changed a bit from Baan4 to Baan5. In Baan4 the meaning od a "m" in the session code was "main session" and the "s" was "sub session". For Baan5 it is "m" as multi occ session and "s" as single occ session.

But for the other error (parameter sessions) please check if the mandatory tables are in the $BSE/lib/tabledef6.2 file. So make sure that the convert was successfull.

Bye from

Garfield :)

Make sure in the tabledef6.2 file there is Y at the end of each line... If I remember correctly on one version of Baan this doesn't get poplulated properly, and you have manually change the file, and apply a patch.
