Situation: SP level 26 for both tools and application, portingset 6.1c.07.09
Check to install SP27 tools succeeded.
Problem: when installing the SP, installation crashed with fatal error :
"illegal value for size argument (0) for sym '' "

Did you install PMC solution 236729 before you started the SP27 tools installation? According to the Installation Guide, solution 235884 is a pre-requisite for SP27 installation, but that one is superseded again by 236739.

Probably you did not install solution 236729. (Hopefully you are not on production...). Solution 236729 is a pre-requisite for SP27 and also included in SP27.
Now you need to remove the link between SP27 and 236729, and uninstall SP and solution 236729 individually. After this, install the SP as per installation guide.
