Is it possible in this Session to enter a export path that way, that the gnerated file is directly sent to the local client? ( should work that way on Baan IV)

Thanks

What session is this Spartacus?
I just checked but this session does not exist on my version of Baan ERP (5b).

Hi Francesco,

it is "Export Baan ERP Help to XML". I found it on 5c - Systems.
Btw. Sorry I forgott to write the sessions name in my first posting.

Hi Spartacus,

why you like to do this ?

As i understood, this session creates the XML helpfiles for BaaN Webtop. So you coud not use this help files directly from the client. You have to copy the files to the WEBTOP Server and than generate DHTML-Files, so the WEBTOP coud display the helpfiles.

Hi Martin,

this is a rquest from a customer. There should be a session which export the Baan help direct to the client in c4. I, myself did never something like that.

In ERP we thought ttadv8900m000 is the equivalent to that. Indeed I have no knowledge about this session. Are you sure it's only for Webtop?

Thanks

If you want to view Help pages via the web, you can use Webtop / eBOKS (acronym for Baan Online Knowledge Solution) to view the help pages. The Help displayed is always first exported to XML. eBOKS reads the XML files and converts them on the fly to a displayable format (HTML).

In this way, it is possible to view help, get updates of the help, and/or write your own (XML-based) help in addition, without downloading the actual help files to your client each time. Access to a central Help webserver running eBOKS is sufficient.
