hi all,

i have a strange thing on BaanIVc4/ Oracle 8 on Win2000.
I licenced this installation and configured application. Works fine.
After every restart of the machine or the Baan Services I get the errormessage: "Error 515, Licence Error, mabye unpatched binaries..."
I can enter the application only, if i cancel the licence deamon.
Then i have to re-configure the application, the licence deamon starts and everything is fine. Until the next restart.

I installed many Baans but this error is completely new to me.

Any Ideas?

I have encountered this error in the past, but i don't remeber what was the reason. Check the IPC_INFO file.

Try to revalidate the license by sending a new security code to Baan Validation.

Instead of checking your Baan license, you might want to check your Oracle license.

I seem to remember a similar problem Baan used to have with Informix, but if my memory serves me well (it does on rare occasions), it all boiled down to an unlicensed database.
