We have BaanVc on AS400 installed with porting set 7.1.c.02. There is a problem with table reconfiguration when using ttadv5210m000 (Create Runtime Data Dictionary), a message:
"serious error in calling bdbreconfig; exit" appears.
I have heard it's a porting set problem and replacing it is a good solution. Does someone use higher porting set (7.1.c.03 or 7.1.c.04 on AS400) and is the problem with bdbreconfig6.2 solved?

Best Regards

On UNIX and NT in portingset 7.1c.03 this error is still present. I heard that the problem will be fixed in a newer release: 7.1d.

On WIN 2000 with porting set 7.1.c.02 bdbreconfig is working fine.
I have heard that downgrading bdbreconfig6.2 to porting set 7.1.c helps. But how to get earlier version of AS400 porting set?

Hi,

the usage of the bdbreconfig of the 7.1c portingset works. With a case to Baan support and selecting the product IBM AS400 will bring you to the right solution.

Also the usage of an newer portingset will be fine. The portingset 7.1c.04 is just out and working.

Bye,

Garfield:)

Hi,

After upgrading to porting set 7.1.c.04 bdbreconfig is working fine! (With porting set 7.1.c.03 it is working OK as well)
