Hi All,

I am able to generate the MS Excel files of the baan report in Baan IVC4 with following device setting.

Device-> Excel
Device type-> Rewrite file
4GL Program->ottstpconv
Argument->ASCII:excel %s
Change allowed->yes
Page Length->100

But when I try the simillar settings in Baan IV C3 and tried to generate the excel file, I am getting following error.

Conversion to ASCII:excel%s is not supported yet

Then I have loaded the latest tools standard dumps, eventhough I am getting same message.

I would like to know if such kind of conversion is possible in C3, or for C3 some other configuration is required.

Best regards

HI Pinakin,

Untill recently we were running version c3 and I couldn't get it to work either. I spend a few hours loading all latest objects etc but all without any luck.
We have now upgraded to c4 (incl SP9) and the excel functionality works perfect.

Maybe the portingset has something to do with it as well I don't know. We upgraded it as well together with the c4 upgrade.

Hello,

I am using BaaN C4 (SP7), and I just created the 'new' device for using with Excel...

When I choose EXCEL printer, it opens Excel but it doesn't format the columns...
Each line is in one column...

Something to do ???

Look at the various solutions offered in Code & Utilities forum.
