Hi Guru's,
We installed the ERP LC on VM-Ware, but localization is not working, it shows an error message regards "SLM 8754".
How we can resolve this issue.

Can you give some more Details please?
- What is ERP LC?
- What OS inside the VMware?
- Is the license Server SLM on the same host, inside the VMware?
- Screenshot of the Errors Message?

Using a license within VMWare is not supported by Infor. You need to run the slm on a physical host.

Have you install the SLM Client on the Client PC where the VMWare is running. after this you must set up a network connection between the host and the vmware. if a "ping" is running from both maschines you must enter the ip adress from the client at the file $BSE/lib/license6.2
For network connection there a two ways:
1. You have a physiscal network connection and cyn use this..
2. You dont have a network connection: Then you must use "client only" and use static ip adresses...

alternatively you could try "virtual box" http://www.virtualbox.org/ - the installation will detect only VMware but not this.
And it is GNU General Public License
all the best.

Hello sushil,
i downloaded the virtualbox and installed it. know i want to open the vmware in the virtualbox. (at the internet i read about it, and at version 4.04.... it should be possible to run a vmware without a migration tool) at the start a black box with a "_" will be frozen... i tried it with differend hard drive types.. any idea???

You cannot run a vmware in a virtualbox and vice versa. When try to start a virtual machine in a virtual machine, the needed acces to the hardware layer is not given, so the startup hangs.
You have to start vmware and virtualbox side by side and connect them to eachother via network. That will run well.

I had also installed LN FP5 on VMware....... the problem i faced was that SLM Server was not installed (it does not allow to install SLM on VMWare)........
So i installed SLM server on WinXP (Basic OS of my m/c) then installed SLM Client on VMWARE and it worked fine for me.....
