Simple question - Do Baan users home directories have to be under $BSE/home? Can they be at /home?

The Home directory of the users can be on a different location. On Unix most of the time they are in /home

I have never seen the users home directory on unix or linux ever located anywhere besides the $HOME directory.

Any unix or linux OS files or directories should remain outside of the BSE.

For some reason when our Baan was implemented user home directories were set to $BSE/home.

If I remember correctly there was in Unix installation manual for Baan IV that we have to create users bsp, applic, tbase, demo and set their home directory to $BSE/home.
