while i was installing ERP LN FP5 after creating the staging area and create the database properly on SQL Server (2005) and Windows server 2003
the following error appears CAN NOT CONNECT TO DATABASE SERVER
what can i do i know it may a very sample error but its the first time to install the application

There should be some log files in either the staging area directory or the install wizard directory that may have more information. The "cannot connect..." error could be numerous things, so you really need more specific information.
Did you let the installer create the DB or did you create it manually? Do the passwords you entered in the install wizard match the actual passwords?

I create the database manually and try to connect to it i cant

Is there a particular reason you created the database manually? Are you sure you created it correctly? If possible, can you try letting the installer create the database?

Have you installed the database with Binary sort mode?

Hi,
Have you installed the VC++ library file which was given in the porting set folder, please execute that file first and then restart the installation. You have to select the SQL in binary mode only.

chk the database credentials in userdb i.e. in installation wizard as soon as u finish stazing wizard in DB users and group authorizations for DB follow win dows registration policy i.e. like Fawz@012
