I have some questions about Baan 5 validation. We are planning to change validation from old (inside application) to SLM.

I know that we have to upgrade porting set as well. What I don't know is detailed procedure - what to do first, do I have to have key before start upgrading PS and so on.

I already read this document and procedure is clear to me.
The procedure to enable license validation by means of Infor Solution
License Manager consists of the following steps:
1 Prepare the Solution License Manager:
a Install SLM Server.
b Install SLM Client.
c Configure and activate Solution License Manager.
2 Prepare the ERP Baan environment for SLM licensing:
a Install Porting Set 7.1d.12a or later.
b Install PMC solutions with security files.
3 Enable Solution License Manager.
4 Test the license validation process.
I had only one question about this procedure, but think that I understand now what to do - I must have new license key (key for SLM) before start with step 3.
