Hi all,

Is there any way to find the "idle" time of the Baan processes so that i can automatically send message and / or kill the user process?

We are on Baan IVC4/HP Unix/ Oracle 8i

Any input ?

Regards

Yes there are.
See the support site on SESSION_TIMEOUT.
Licenses that become inactive (user does do nothing but have menubrowser open; or even open sessions but no updates etc), will be closed down.

There is also one for the cases when the server loses connection with the front end (like when windows station is closed down without shutting down baan windows client or closing the telnet terminal emulation program). This one is the DS_SERVER_TIMEOUT.

This has been covered already in the foruns:

- If it's related to the timeout parameters, see the thread http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1735&highlight=TIMEOUT

- If it's related to bshell idle CPU time, then you need to OS tools, but my bet is that it's related to the above.
