I'm going to install a fresh ERP LN server next week and wonder what versions of Windows and SQL people would recommend? Its for testing and dev and almost certainly won't go live without a rebuild.

Options seem to be:


Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 server
SQL2000, 2005, 2008 database


As with Baan I assume the installation has a recommended version, but then you can usually upgrade after the upgrade to a later version.

Any suggestions or recent experiences welcome!

Have successfully installed LN on a Windows2k3/SQL2k5 combination couple of times.
