how can I change the external Text-Editor in ERP LN for a specific TextGroup from Word to another Text Editor (e.g. Wordpad) ?

thank you for your reply. I don´t want to change the editor for the developers, I want to change it for the "normal" users. How can I do this ?

Hi Dieter,
If i remember it right, you got to create a text group in session Text Groups {tttxt1110m000} and assign "Word" as the choice in the External Editor field. Next point the Users Default Text Group to this newly created group and it ought to work... Give it a try...

Alternately you could also assign this text group to a text field and so regardless of which user uses the text field, it would always open in Word.

Word is working fine, but I want to have *another* Editor there (e.g. WordPad), unfortunately this seems to be not possible :-(

Hi Dieter,
I guess as long as Word is installed on that particular machine, whenever you use "Word" as the external editor it would default to Word. The server from where i used to run such a setup (as above) didnt have Word installed and it always defaulted to Wordpad..
