Hi all,
Does anyone know abt "sh_server" process ...
We have BaaN IV c4 here.
I assume when a client takes login, this is one of the process started at the server side, but its taking one license...
Cheers ...

From the Tools Technical Manual:
sh_server6.2
Shell server used to execute system-dependent commands.
I assume when a client takes login, this is one of the process started at the server side, but its taking one license...
In our LN Tools Version:
The bshell consumes a license and not sh_server.
Bshell starts a sh_server if required.
sh_server is not started when a user logs in and does nothing.

Hello Mr Rao,
Thanx for the valuable info.
But what I have found when I kill any sh_server for any login, one license is released.
I realized this when we started to get "Maximum no of users reached". We have 40 licenses, when i checked the server processes, only 34 ntbshells were running and 6 sh_server processes were running. Killing every sh_server one license was released.

Hi,
I have found an older version of the documentation here and it said:
SH_SERVER6 (sh_server6.2)A Baan shell server which handles the
"shelling" of different Baan jobs.
