Hi,
I'm printing a report on a pre-printed stationery onto a windows printer(EPSON LQ 680) through BW print.
The size of the pre-printed stationery is 9 inches x 7.3 inches.
The first page is being printed perfectly but on the second page it's skipping lines.
The default paper attached to the windows printer device is A4.

What are the steps to add this paper size in device data?

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Since you havent mentioned what you have done so far to include this paper type in Baan Device Data Section, here are the steps that you would need to do..

1) Maintain Paper Types {ttaad3110m000}
2) Maintain Fonts by Paper Type {ttaad3111m000}
3) Maintain Device Data {ttaad3100m000} (Change the Paper type defined for your device (EPSON LQ 680) in this session.)
4) Maintain Report Defaults {ttaad3105m000} (Optional)

Hi Sukesh,
Thanks for kind help:

Details for the respective sessions are:
1. Maintain Paper Types {ttaad3110m000}-
"AP - Portrait"

2) Maintain Fonts by Paper Type {ttaad3111m000} -

"large - 80(width) 66 (height)"
"small - 211(width) 66 (height)"
"Middle - 94(width) 66 (height)"

3) Maintain Device Data {ttaad3100m000}-
Device: "Printer-Epson"
Device type:Windows printer
Paper Type : "AP"
Page Length: "40"
Left margin: 0

The default font being used is small.

Where is the mistake? There is no problem in the first page. The second page is not being printed correctly.

What about within the script of the report? Is there some sort of a pagebreak or skip options (command) used thats intended for an A4 size paper?

Secondly you could also try attaching the paper type to the report using session Maintain Report Defaults..

Last but not least, please check Form2 of Maintain Reports session. There are some page related settings in there..perhaps that needs to be set?

My money is on the Report script though..

Hi Sukesh,
In the report script i'm using skip function in the following section:

after.tfgld102.suno.1:
before.layout:
skip(12-count)

On the form 2 of the reports, following information is there:
Top margin: 7
Bottom margin : 2
Left margin: 0
foot margin: -1
No. of multi columns: 0
repeat expression: 1
Page length: -1
page width: 211
Font default: small.

I tried to change these values, but did not succeed.

On the second page, it's skipping 14 lines.

How about fiddling with the skip command in the script?

Hi,

1) Check device data - page length
Try to adjust accordingly

2) one more reason can be printer's setting
Go to printer setting (hardware/software)
and try to adjust the page height and width
