Ok, so we are doing some service pack testing and are now on SP23. 6.1.c.07.13.

When I run a checks session it says , "No data within selection". If we change that user to be a superuser it runs immediately and displays the checks.

Any ideas?

Since you said you were testing with the service packs, i take it for granted that this particular checks session was working with the particular user in question prior to the service pack installation. Did you check the service pack documentation for any post installation tasks or the list of changes that has been brought forth with the application of the service pack?

Yes, we've done extensive testing and all the steps of the Service Pack upgrade were completed. The check session did work before the upgrade to SP23 so I'm thinking its something in TOOLS area and/or maybe the checks session.

Does this user have any authorizations set on the financial tables?
Is this happening for just one user or for all financial users who use the cheque sessions?
