Dear All,

I want to print to a specific windows printer from a PC station but it doesn't work.

I'm going to describe my ame :

Server Baan : Windows
I don't want to add the printer on the server.

I have a PC where i have two printers :

PRINTER_1 Default
PRINTER_2 not default but connected on an other PC

Today in Baan i have a device with HP4000N defined as windows printer.

The BWPRINT takes the default printer of the PC when i use in Baan HP4000N.

It works well, but my question how can i print on the PRINTER_2 from this PC without to change this printer as default on the pc and without to change de printer in the BWPRINT.

I want to print from Baan from the PC to the PRINTER_2 automatically.

Thank you veru much

Regards.

If you check "preview" option, then you can select a printer different from your windows default device.

Dear ,

Thank you for your answer.

I know this option but i think it will be possible to do it automatically and clicking on "preview" option and then choose the printer.

Regards.

Pegas1,
The field Device Queue in session Maintain Device Data {ttaad3100m000} is specifically meant for assigning a Device to a particular printer setup on a PC.
For E.g:
Suppose you have two printers connected to your PC
"Printer1" - default
"Printer 2" - Networked
Where "Printer1" and "Printer2" are the names of your printer found in the Printers & Faxes section of your computer.

In Baan you create two Device Data
"Device1" - In Device Queue field you put "Printer1"
"Device2" - In Device Queue field you put "Printer2"

Whenever you print using device "Device1" it would print on Printer1 by default and when you print using "Device2" it would print on Printer2 by default..

Check it out!!

Note: Without changing the Device in session Select Device (whenever you try to print), i dont think you would be able to select different printers on your PC by default (except if you do what joy had suggested). Other ways include assigning a device to a report or to a user but from your post, thats not what you are looking for..
