Hi,

We upgraded portingset from 8.2b to 8.4a.01.System is very slow.so we are reimporting the data using bdbpost6.2
bdbpost6.2 -k -m -n -I /erpsol/livedata/comp.000 -E /erpsol/livedata/err000.log -pb61tprd1 -c 000

it is giving error 520 for some tables like ttadv306,ttadv308,ttadv312,ttadv140,ttadv150.

Does anyone has any idea how to solve this error ?

dump format changed between 8.2b and 8.4a.01 porting sets.

The state of the tables probably has nothing to do with your performance.

You may need to run statistics because there were some changes in the
informix driver (look at the release/ bug notes for 8.4a.01)

Dump format changed
The internal dumpformat generated by bdbpre, via session ‘create sequential dump of tables’, is improved. Older porting sets will not be able to read this dump format.
7-2 | Known Issues/points of attention
Via the environment variable PREVERSION=3 or the resource preversion:3 it is possible to enforce dumping in the old format.

Why are you importing/exporting data for Porting Set Upgrade?

There are flaws with this porting set. We have Sales Statistics problems (acknowledged by Infor) after installing 8.4a 01

I also had import sequential dump problems when the dump was from a previous porting set (Windows) so did fresh dump and re-imported

On a brand new server, it still took over 50 hours to load about 55gig of data

oracle recycle bin was set to on mode,we diabled recyclebin of oracle and problem solved.

Now for co.000 it is not giving error 520 but when we try to import data in other companies for below tables it is giving error 520.Does any one has any idea for this.

Hi Vaishali,

This error occurs when flushing of buffered updates fails. The flushing can fail due to a lock or referential integrity constraint.
By the way your profile says BaanIVc4 as far as know there are no wh* tables in that packages.

Now i m working on ERP LN,OS is AIX 5.3 and database oracle 10.2

We could imported foc co.000 but for other companies getting this error.If u have any idea how to solve this error

Hi Vaishali,

We are also on the same situation as you are LN, OS and Oracle I meant. For one thing if you are creating the tables with session ttaad4227m000 "Create Table from Sequential Dump" then tick "Ignore Referential Integrity Constraits" afterwards you have to run ttaad4225m000 but that comes up automatically. I hope this will solve your problem.
