we are actually using the version 4.2 of webtop with english and chinese pack.

I am wondering is it possible to upgrade to 8.4 ?

The new version seems more powerful, especially for reporting !

If its a yes/no answer that you seek then the answer to your question is "Yes"..The installation files on how to install Webtop 8.4 also details out how to conduct a 4.2 to 8.4 upgrade...

If i have read it right, then you got to uninstall your webtop 4.2 and install 8.4...there is no upgrade path as far as i know...
What i meant by "its possible to upgrade from 4.2 to 8.4" in my previous post is that users of webtop 4.2 can use 8.4 by just replacing their existing 4.2 with 8.4..

You can NOT upgrade to 8.4 SP1, you need to do a new installation!

It's written in the manual but can easily be overseen!

Installation is a breeze. The post-installation might take time..but within reasonable limits. Post-installation includes licensing and Online Form Cache initialization. Depending on the number of packages you run, the latter might take a bit of time..
