Maybe $BSE/log/log.error shows more information.

You may also want to check the event viewer.

i have the same error. Have you a solution? Are you loading on enterprise server 8.3 or 8.4?

So am I. I have installed on 8.3 before without problems on different platforms. This is the first time I am installing on 8.4. I am starting to wonder if this is where the problem is.

Is there any additional information on the error in either the event viewer, or the logs under the staging wizard directory?

I have seen errors in the log.bshell_inst6.2 and the log.oracle8 log files. Almost seems that the package VRC's are not being loaded. If you look at the tables that are created, there are only 177. A little short of Baan Standards :) I am trying to go back to FP0 with the install and build up from there. I need an environment with FP1 and FP3 in the same environment.

8.4 has a different structure for the import. I am updating the tools set with the latest solutions and going to try again. If this does not work, i am going back to 8.3 and trying.

I am currently in the progress of installing FP3 on a test environment (Windows 2003 server, SQL 2005 SP2), (lesson learned from installing previous service packs / feature packs).
Here's was I have discovered upgrading LN 6.1 FP2 to FP3. Every time I try to upgrade everything to the latest version in one run (portingset, enterprise server and FP3) it fails after / during create runtime dd with the same error as mentioned in the beginning of this thread. (ERROR - ttbsi.001602: An error occurred during import. See the logfiles for details.
E:baan: ERROR - ttbsi.001603: An error occurred when starting import. See the logfiles for details. )

When looking in either of the log files / eventviewer I don't see any explanation as to what is causing the error!

If I update portingset and Enterprise server first and then update to the Feature Pack 3 it still fails.

If I update to Feature Pack 3 before updating portingset and Enterprise server then it completes successfully.

Hi Kansel,
Also I update to FP3 first, then updating portingset and Enterprise server. Also failed.

If I update portingset and Enterprise server first and then update to the Feature Pack 3 it still fails.

If I update to Feature Pack 3 before updating portingset and Enterprise server then it completes successfully.

We are running Informix 9.4FC8 and AIX 5.2. I installed PS , ES 8.4a , ES 8.4 PMC patches in one shot and when I try to install LN6.1, this is the message I get.

The trick to escape that error message is,
In the staging Area, download All ES8.4a / ES8.4 tools PMC / ES 8.4 Tools Addon PMC / LN6.1 / LN6.1 PMC and start Installation Wizard that comes with ES8.4 CD and select all of the above products to install. I also have attached the screenshot for reference.
Thanks

I went back to 8.3 and still received the same error. After digging around, I found that one of the dumps that were being imported might have been corrupted. Not uncommon if you downloaded your CD's and not had them sent to you. Since this was for the base VRC, I copied the line016 from another CD and it worked. My base is not installed and I can install the FP.

In the many ttiex1288 log files search for "error" and you also may find the line that is reporting the error.

Dear All
Please download 222450 solutions and save it on your desktop after converting to unzip and install the same. This will bypass that ttbsi.erp error.
