Hi everyone,

I have installed Oracle 10.2.0.x in a Windows 2003 server standard 64 bits, afterwards I have began to install Baan IV c4 with the assistant. Currently I am in the step where I can chose the tablespaces (Data tablespace, Index Tablespace, Temporary tablespace, Undo Tablespace) . Previosly I had created 2 tablespaces , one for Data and the other one for Indexes, but in the baan installation I only can see the tablespaces created during the Oracle installation (examples, users, system, sysaux) I can not see the other tablespaces which have the same features. The Oracle DBA is System, who has the DBA role (all permisions). I need to use my own tablespaces but I can see them.

Any suggestion ?

thanks a lot in advance

Hi,

You need to create separate table spaces for BaaN DB, which will used only by BaaN Application and not by Oracle System OR any other application. To start with, you can create one TblSpace for data and index each.

First of all, thanks a lot Kaustubh.

I Had created two separate tablespaces in a Oracle database, but these not appear in a Baan Installation Asistant. I realized that I can write the tablespace into the select box where only appeared the others tablespaces (system, users, examples, sysaux) and finally I have installed Baan IV c4

Best Regards,
Alex

you have to create these tablespaces in "baan" schema....
