Hi Guru's,

I hv created one device EXCEL1 in Maintain device data(ttaad3110m000). By which I hv to generate output in EXCEL format. Following fields were updates while creating new DEVICE DATA.

DEVICE = EXCEL1
DESCRIPTION = EXCEL OUTPUT
DEVICE TYPE = REWRITE FILE
LOCATE = ISO-8859-1
4 GL PROGRA = ttstpconv
ARGUMENT = ASCII:excel.exe %s
PATH = tt.xls
CHANGE ALLOWED = SELECTED
PAGE LENGTH = 66

Other fields are blank fields.


Now output will be generated on SERVER, but cann't immediately open on users desktop. In other words, output file tt.xls will be generating on server. I want this file will directly opened on users desktop, instead of going on server and double clicking on that file.

Can u pl. tell me , where I am wrong in following procedure or I hv missed out any step.

check if the path on users desktop include the directory where u had installed excel.
When BaaN starting a Win program use win path.
