Hi-
My company is looking at discontinuing Baan support. My biggest concern with this is what would happen if we had a hardware crash and needed new license keys. I was wondering if anyone here has discontinued support and ended up needing new license keys. If so, can you please share your experience with me here in the thread?
Please remember, I am not advocating discontinuing Baan support! I just wanted to have some 'real life' scenarios to use in the discussions with my company.

What about updates to the Operating System or Database, which might require a new Porting Set version?

What about information/patches for changes like the Daylight Savings Time update earlier this year?

Just my 2 cents for thinking that Baan support is required.

You have the option to discontinue but do remember that in case you need them supporting you back, you have to pay for the period while you were not on Support. So both ways you have to spend.
