HI,

We have different server for application and database. our application server's windows OS got corrupt. We had to reinstall the windows OS. In the previous scenerio application server was a primary domain controller. Now in present scenerio it is a member of a different domain. Domain of both application and database server are same.

We reinstalled baan and reinstated the same with our backup. But whenever we are trying to open a bsheel, it gives a fatal error message,
"Error 510 (Database not on) on ttadv002000 in db_first"

Our working environment for BaaN is SP 17 and Porting set is 6.1c.07.06.

Please help.

Did you restore the backup of the old Windows server on the new one OR you reinstalled Baan by using CDs..?
Also, please tell us on which server the database driver is running..DB server or App server?

HI,

We reinstalled OS by using CDs.
We reinstalled SQL Server (Sp3) on Application Server using CD.
We reinstalled BaaN using CDs with "User Interface and logic option." As it does not install all components/folders we restored the same with our original backups.
SQL driver is running on Database server.

In case u got anyu fresh queries pls let us know and also can we have yr contact nos.

Navin,
It might sound stupid to ask, but i guess you have installed all the Service Packs till 17? Secondly, as your App server was a domain controller and right now its demoted to a member server, do you think this is caused due to a trust issue between these two servers? Just a shot in the dark...

I think that this is about your DB problem. Did you check your SQL server running? Run simple query on it ? after did you check DB listener is active ?

In the first step , That's all I think !
