Hi ,

We have a live server in our company but dont have a development server.
So recently we thought of having one for testing and development purpose. So we procured a new machine and performed the preinstallation steps i.e the installation of sql server 200 and baan IV c4 erp with porting set 6.1 and service pack 18. So now we are planning to migrate the data from sql server live database to the development server database. So how do i restore the database in to the development server. I have a backup of the live server datatabse namely .bak file which is around 15gb. What are the prerequistes for restoration? and how do i go about it?
