Hi every bory,
Im logon on NT with a user flaviomr this is a normal user with permission for writing into regedit. I logon on BaaN with another user mrbaan, that have permission to write into regedit.
My problem is when I try to change a configuration in a especific device on baan.
After done the configuration and close the preview of my report, the configuration dont appears again.

What can I do to solve this problem?
Best regards

Please try giving full control to the 'users' in the local machine for the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Baan\BwPrint
Also in the advanced settings, make sure that 'inherit from the parent the permission entries that apply to child objects....' is ticked.

Hi Nidyar, I have gave the permission, but didnt work. The only kind of permission that worked was the full control under the machine (administrator permission for the user).
Is there another kink of permission for save this printers configuration?

Thanks in advanced.

This something to do with the access rights to execute the program. I am not able to explain you the technical reasons but the following solution should work if the earlier one doesn't work.

1) Uninstall BaaN client from the local client machine
2) remove the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Baan (after a registry backup)
3) give administrator rights to the user
4) install bwclient from this users login
5) remove the administrator rights of the user

I have this same problem. The only way I find to solve it is add the user to administrators group. I tried the last instrucctions given by Nidyar but no result. Any idea?

The user have full control for c:\program files\baan and to the registry entry HLM\Software\Baan.

Thanks.

I found the solution. I install a newer Baan client version and now works perfectly. I change the B40c.58 with the B40c.89. Thanks...
