Hi All,

I need to share the licenses that i have b/w my production and test server.
Right now, as per Infor SSA i have to allocate my user licenses to two servers seperately, thus effectively reducing the no. at production server. Both the servers are at exactly same configuration and environment.

I guess the method for sharing of licenses on LN might be different to baan4. Please do suggest if anybody has an idea abt. this.

thanx and regards,
Jatin

If you are using LN you also have to use BCLM/SLM for licensing. It shouldn't be a problem to add additional servers to your SLM and share the user-licences.
Surely you will will need a new licence key.

sharing licence ?

if you mean 1 licence server , but multiple application server

then just put the the licence server name in the servers.xml file of each application server, then you can share it.

serverx.sml is similar to licence6.1 file in BaanIV

Hi,

servers.xml can be found in /shared/etc directory. All you have to do is put the host name and port of license server.

After restarting slm server, you should be able to share licenses between servers.
