Hi all,
Is it possible to define the printers with an ip address instead of \\servername\sharename within Maintain Device Data?
Server is MS windows 2003 clients are Windows XP

Hi,
I think I have worked around this by just setting the device as Windows printer and leaving the device queue blank, which in effect uses the Windows default printer the user has setup in the OS. Cheers

You can set printer in device data as \\ip-address\share. it works.

if you think of standalone printer on the net, my advice is not to print directly on it but to set it on the (print) server and therefore to print from BaaN over that server.
In BaaN, you should set printer as gramasub told you in previous post.

Workaround is correct, this is one of the easy task observed for Win$ows users.
