We have BAAN V on AIX 5.3. When is the best time to run the bdbpre6.2? Our application is used most of the daytime from 9 AM to 7 PM. Will running it affects other operations.

I want to learn about the backup of Baan. I am reading the BaanERP Tools: technical manual, this is the first thing i read about the backup the Baan. Just want to try. till now, I did not recall the book saying about lock up. Thanks you.

It's good that you're researching, but to save some time.

You don't really have to backup "baan" you backup the database (hotbackups or whatever) and the OS filesystem.
