currently running Baan IV c4 on one server, building new server and want to take baan to level II driver. I built my new server with windows 2000 SP4 and SQL 2000 SP3a, I copied over my live DB and licensed for Level II, then following baan documentation( i dumped the tables, deleting tables after dump. I then updated ttaad4110m000 to update tabledef, and then used bdb to import companies. I see no difference, being the baan documentation is lacking - has anyone done this or offer any advice. I also applied 142802 patch for level II - when licensing with baan - they told me needed to keep mssql 7 and level ii checked
Thanks

I don't see where you updated the db_resource per the driver manual.

Do you have MSSQL_LEVEL1=0 anywhere?

Ok, it could be either place.
So you still see hash columns on your tables in SQL then?
Are you on a new enough porting set?

I'm on the newest porting set for Ivc4 - the one question i have is when you set to Level II and and do convert to runtime - do you need to do DD at same tim or after loading files back in. Baan had sent me new procedure to follow but after i loaded files get error 9144 trying to login to baan. Followed their procedures just feel like missing something

You don't do a "Convert / Create" runtime for level 2. you need to export
your entire DB and re-import it.
other than setting MSSQL_LEVEL1=0 and tuning the db_resource that should
be it.

thanks for answereing questions - my DB in total is 30GB - the reorg seems to be taking extremely long - My main finance company was running close to 18 hours - does this seem correct

Yes, the data should be in by now but the repair referential integrity can take up to a week to complete.
Always choose "repair references to parent" when doing a reorg using
the session.

Dear experts,
I am planning to upgrade my SQL 2000 to level 2 soon.
Can someone write in the actual steps to do so. Very unsure of the steps.
What are the solutions and porting set that i need to install?
I thought we don't need to revalidate the server???
I dont see Level 2 Option on the Requested Configuraton screen.
Thanks and regards,
