I have read and installed solution 200463 (OS Username could not exceed eight characters). A solution note says:
- This solution is also made available for Baan IV. In case of Baan IV longer OS usernames are not supported in combination with the BBase (Baan Base) database.
When I try to run session ttaad2220m000 (Change length of OS User Names) we get the following message: Long OS user names not supported with database type "Baan Base".
I checked in session ttaad4110m000 (Maintain Database Definitions) and there are two database entries with the BAAN Base Database Type, but I cannot see where either of them are used in the session ttaad4111m000 (Assign Tables to Databases).
I then looked at the $BSE/lib directory and found the list of the following files:
-rw-rw---- 1 bsp bsp 13676 Sep 26 2000 tabldef6.1bisam00
-rw-rw---- 1 bsp bsp 46007 Feb 18 13:46 tabledef6.1

-rw-rw---- 1 bsp bsp 7012 Sep 26 2000 tabledef6.5glh
I looked in the tabledef6.1 file and found only references to Oracle (which is the only database we use).
Is there somewhere else where I need to look to see if a Baan Base Database is actually used? As far as I'm aware we are completely Oracle based.
Are any of the other files (except the tabledef6.1) valid?
We would like to utilize longer OS username to have single-logon capabilities.
Thank you for any information you can provide.
