MY env is LN.

I tried to add a session on the menu.

1) I went to the maintain Menu,
2) Copy to live PVRC
3) Add a session into the menu fields.
4) compile the menu
5) Logout and login
6) check whether the session is in the menu.

No, the new session is not seen in the menu. What else to do?
what to check?

If you use worktop then you need to refresh the worktop menus

Turn auto ERP refresh on/off
By default the ERP menu is cached on the client and not refreshed on opening of a Worktop document. The DEM menu on the contrary is always refreshed at startup. You can define the ERP menu also to refresh automatically on opening of a Worktop document by editing the Worktop.ini file located in the Worktop installation directory. Change the attribute "RefreshERP" from 0 to 1 to do so.
